Play: This Tornado Loves You
I mention on the About page I plan to talk about a variety of things that inspire me here, including music, and I feel I should introduce a regular feature by the name of Play. Nothing fancy, just a song a week, or two, or three, with the minimum of personal introduction here and there, because I think good music speaks for itself.
How will plants and music mesh as blog fodder? Your guess is as good as mine. But both inspire me in ways most profound, and as this blog is intended to be personal, I intend to share both.
Of course, it should come as no surprise to you that I hear nature in many of these songs.
With that, welcome to one of my favorite songs from my favorite album of 2009. “My love, I’m an owl on the sill in the evening, but morning finds you still warm and breathing…”

Hey Andrew,
I like the Neko Case tune…thanks for sharing!
Great idea, combining music with horticulture. Perhaps you could create a Flash slideshow of plants/gardens/leaves/flowers/etc., inspired by the specific song, to play along with the music?
Just an idea. Continue exploring, and keep up the good work!

Hey Dan - Thanks for stopping by! That’s a great idea, actually, maybe for down the road, maybe like a retrospective? Right now I see the two as crossing paths but separate enough that I want to give voice to both here, but I can see it… I’m going to keep it in mind. Thank you!
