Play: Jailhouse Fire

by Andrew Keys on January 25, 2010

Laura Veirs has a new album out, but so far all I’ve done about it is be reminded to revisit The Triumphs and Travails of Orphan Mae.

“She was everywhere, rising higher… She set the jailhouse on fire.”

That song has a classic Bad Andy sound. Nice.

Awesome! I just “discovered” her via NPR’s song of the day. Thanks for sharing another song … Now I know I need to check out more of her stuff. :-)

Gasp! The joy of just having discovered Laura Veirs! That is awesome. I loved ‘Saltbreakers,’ and the song ‘Galaxies’ from one of her earlier albums. All great! (And if you didn’t subscribe to follow up comments, I’m going to DM those names to you on Twitter. ;-) )
