It’s Monday. You know what’s missing from your life? Russian pop, that’s what. This band is called something WordPress doesn’t have the Cyrillic characters for me to type here, which transliterates to “Zimavsegda,” which translates to… Uh… Zimavsegda. I can’t tell you much more than that. I CAN tell you that I like the next to last song here, whose name translates to “love you.” From Russia–WITH LOVE. Further down on the page, you can download the song from this video too (translation: “at night”), which I think is a good reminder that, even though it’s probably winter where you are, it could be worse. It COULD be winter in Moscow where you are.
Leave a comment below now through Christmas for a chance to win my book. Details here.

Love it! Totally different genre, but still from that part of the world: have you heard the completely amazing Gogol Bordello? They’re the best show I’ve ever gone to.
Also, I REALLY want to win your book. It’s on my wishlist…
Merry Christmas!
Well, good news, Amanda, there aren’t THAT many people who’ve entered, so odds are in your favor! ;-) I totally know/love Gogol Bordello, and yes, we should all start wearing purple.
